The Monroe County
Chamber of Commerce
has recently received calls
from area businesses
reporting that a representative
from a company
called “Premier
Impressions,” located in
Alta Mesa, AZ, is selling
advertising for something
called a “Community
Guide.” During the “sales
pitch,” the caller states
that the Chamber of
Commerce will be distributing
these items. The Chamber of
Commerce has never
been contacted by
“Premier Impressions”,
nor has the Chamber ever
agreed to distribute any
advertising materials
being provided by this
Arizona based company. Companies such as this
target small rural communities.
They claim to be
publishing guides, calendars,
cartoon maps, magazines,
etc… They claim to
be representing the
Chamber of Commerce,
or they’ll say “I represent
Monroe County,” or “I’m
calling on behalf of the
Police or the Sheriff
Department.”

The Chamber encourages you to see for yourself. Do a quick “Google” search for “premier impressions scam”. Other Chambers across the country are warning their local communities about this scam. The Chamber of Commerce is striving very hard to build relationships between our own local area businesses. We encourage everyone to call us before committing to spending your own hard earned money on advertising that could possibly turn out to be a scam.
